Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You will be shown hell 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
