۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 on couches facing each other. 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 Are we then not to die 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 74
