Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
