Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
