Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 What, would they then say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
