The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 it is no merriment. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and so am I: 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
