And recite to them the news of Abraham. 69 He said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship' 70 They said: "We worship idols, and we remain constantly in attendance on them." 71 He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them 72 Do they help or harm you?" 73 They said, 'Nay, but we found our fathers so doing.' 74 He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping, 75 you and your forefathers of yore? 76 are my enemies? Not so the Lord of the Universe. 77 "Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 and is the One who gives me to eat and to drink, 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me. 80 Who will cause me to die and then will again restore me to life; 81 and who, [hope, will forgive me my faults on Judgment Day! 82 My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 and make me of those who will inherit the Garden of Bliss, 85 and forgive my father for he is among those who strayed, 86 Do not degrade me on the Day when they are resurrected. 87 The day on which property will not avail, nor sons 88 But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart." 89 And the garden shall be brought near for those who guard (against evil), 90 And hell will be revealed for the astray. 91 And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship 92 apart from God? Do they help you or help themselves?' 93 Then they shall be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 And they, while contending therein, shall say: 96 "By Allah, we were surely in clear error 97 In equating you with the Lord of all the worlds; 98 It was but the guilty who misled us. 99 So none we have as intercessors. 100 nor any loving friend. 101 Would that we could have a chance to live again so that we might become believers." 102 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 103 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there. Using this feature in ColorfulQuran.com, you can easily read the Surahs according to the order of their revelation from The Embryo (Al-Alaq) to The Victory (An-Nasr), which is different from their positional order in the Holy Book from The Key (Al-Fatihah) to The People (An-Nas).
