Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
