The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
