Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
