Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Woe to the liars 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
