The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The Striking! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity? 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 and mountains will be like carded wool. 5 Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, 6 Will have a tranquil life; 7 But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales, 8 the Abyss shall be his home. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 A Fire vehemently hot! 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
