Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
