Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
18 verses, revealed in Medina after Prohibition (Al-Tahreem) before The Column (Al-Suff)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah; unto Him belongeth Sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise, and He is Able to do all things. 1 He it is who has created you: and among you are such as deny this truth, and among you are such as believe [in it]. And God sees all that you do. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, and fashioned you thereby making you in best shapes; and towards Him only is the return. 3 He knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you hide and what you disclose; God knows what is in the hearts. 4 Has not the story reached you, of those who rejected Faith aforetime? So they tasted the evil result of their conduct; and they had a grievous Penalty. 5 That was because there came to them messengers with Clear Signs, but they said: "Shall (mere) human beings direct us?" So they rejected (the Message) and turned away. But Allah can do without (them): and Allah is free of all needs, worthy of all praise. 6 The disbelievers pretend that they will never be resurrected (for the Account). Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes! By my Lord, you will certainly be resurrected, then you will be informed of (and recompensed for) what you did, and that is easy for Allah. 7 Therefore, believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and in the Light (this Quran) which We have sent down. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. 8 Upon the day when He shall gather you for the Day of Gathering; that shall be the Day of Mutual Fraud. And whosoever believes in God, and does righteousness, God will acquit him of his evil deeds, and admit him into gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein to dwell for ever and ever; that is the mighty triumph. 9 But those who disbelieved (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and denied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they will be the dwellers of the Fire, to dwell therein forever. And worst indeed is that destination. 10
