No! By the moon 32 and the night when it retreats 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 That Hell is surely one of the greater signs, 35 A warning unto humankind 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 about the sinners. 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 "Nor used to feed the needy." 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
