The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
