And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape. 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 When I have completed shaping him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall you down before him in prostration." 29 So the angels fell prostrate, all of them together 30 Except Iblis (Satan), - he refused to be among the prostrators. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 "How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard?" 33 (Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! 34 and there shall be a curse upon you till the Day of Recompense." 35 "O my Lord," said he, "give me respite till the day the dead are raised." 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 until the day of a known time." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." 42 And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place. 43 Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them." 44

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
