Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 A revelation from Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2 A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know, 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 (To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works - unto them shall be a hire unceasing. 8
