Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an. 1 ‘That guides to the path of goodness, we have therefore accepted faith in it; and we shall never ascribe anyone as a partner to our Lord.’ 2 Exalted is the glory of our Lord; He has neither wife nor son. 3 "'And [now we know] that the foolish among us were wont to say outrageous things about God, 4 and that [we were mistaken when] we thought that neither man nor [any of] the invisible forces would ever tell a lie about God. 5 And that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing: 6 ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ 7 We sought to pry into the secrets of the heavens, but found it full of fierce guards and shooting flames. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 and that “we do not know whether evil is intended for those on the earth, or whether their Lord intends to direct them to the Right Way”; 10 Some of us are righteous, while others are not; we follow divergent paths. 11 And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight. 12 And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden. 13 And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. 14 And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell, 15 If they had followed the right path, We would have provided them with abundant rain -- 16 In order to try them through it. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, will be given increasing torment by Him." 17 And that the mosques are Allah's, therefore call not upon any one with Allah: 18 And when the bondman of Allah stood calling upon Him, they well nigh pressed on him stifling. 19
