▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Yes, never!* By oath of the moon. (Hell will never spare the disbelievers). 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those of the right hand 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
