The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
