The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
