Surely, the cautious shall have Gardens of Bliss with their Lord. 34 Should We treat the true believers and the wrongdoers alike? 35 What aileth you? How foolishly ye judge! 36 Do you have a book from which you study 37 That you can surely have whatever you choose? 38 Or do you have Our solemn oaths, binding upon Us till the Day of Resurrection, that you shall have whatever you yourselves decide? 39 Ask them: “Which of them can guarantee that? 40 Or have they other partners [besides God]? Let them bring forth their other partners, if what they say be true. 41 On the Day when the leg shall be bared, and they are ordered to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. 42 Their eyes will be cast down, ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not). 43 Then leave Me alone with such as reject this Message: by degrees shall We punish them from directions they perceive not. 44 And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm. 45 Or are you asking them for some compensation so that they feel burdened with debt? 46 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 47 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. 48 and who cried (for help) to his Lord, while imprisoned and helpless inside the fish. Had it not been for a favor from his Lord, he would have been left out in the open, deserving blame for his shortcomings. 49 But his Lord had chosen him, and He placed him among the righteous. 50 Hence, [be patient,] even though they who are bent on denying the truth would all but kill thee with their eyes whenever they hear this reminder, and [though] they say: "[As for Muhammad,] behold, most surely he is a madman!" 51 And it is nothing but a Reminder unto all beings. 52
