And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 he said, "You are strangers [to me]." 62 They said: "Nay, we have brought to you that concerning which they have been in doubt. 63 and we are bringing thee the certainty [of its fulfilment]: for, behold, we are speaking the truth indeed. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 The people of the town came along, revelling, 67 He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me, 68 Fear God and do not shame me." 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 [Lot] said: "[Take instead] these daughters of mine, if you must do [whatever you intend to do]!" 71 By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 And verily they are on a pathway lasting. 76 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
