Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 right before your very eyes? 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
