Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
