No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 As a warning unto men, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
