The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, 8 And rejects the best, 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
