The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
