The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
