Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Indubitable! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 Would that you knew (in detail) what the Inevitable is! 3 THE LIE gave [the tribes of] Thamud and 'Ad to [all tidings of] that sudden calamity! 4 Now as for the Thamud - they were destroyed by a violent upheaval [of the earth]; 5 And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent; 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them? 8 Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]. 10 Indeed when the water swelled up, We boarded you onto the ship. 11 making it a Reminder for you, for all attentive ears to retain. 12 And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast, 13 And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. 14 On that day shall the great event come to pass, 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record! 19 Verily I was sure that I should be a meeter of my reckoning. 20 They will have a pleasant life 21 In high empyrean 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 (They will be told): “Eat and drink with good cheer as a reward for the good deeds you did in the days that have passed by.” 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 and had not known my account. 26 Oh, would that this [death of mine] had been the end of me! 27 My wealth has not availed me. 28 "My power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!" 29 Seize him and fetter him, 30 and then roast him in Hell, 31 Fasten a chain to them - seventy cubits long - 32 for he did not believe in Almighty God, 33 nor did he urge the feeding of the needy. 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds, 36 Which none but sinners eat. 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
