۞ Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone." 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans; 53 Then, when He removes the affliction from you, lo, a party of you assign associates to their Lord, 54 So as to deny that which We have given them. Then enjoy life (while ye may), for ye will come to know. 55 They set aside a share of that which We have provided them for what they did not know. By Allah, you shall be questioned about your forgeries! 56 And [thus, too,] they ascribe daughters unto God, who is limitless in His glory - whereas for themselves [they would choose, if they could, only] what they desire: 57 When the glad news of the birth of their daughter is brought to them, their faces turn gloomy and black with anger. 58 Because of the evil of the good news he hides himself from people, (pondering) whether he will keep her and be humiliated, or trample her into the dust. Evil is their judgement! 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and Allah's is the Sublime Similitude. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60
