(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 and ease my task for me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 to support me. 31 And let him share my task, 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 and remember you often. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 Saying! cast him in the ark, and cast him into the river, and the river will throw him on the bank, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him up. And I cast on thee love from Me in order that thou mayest be formed under Mine eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
