The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the pluckers (the angels of death), violently plucking (the souls of the unbelievers), 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
