And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. 33 And there We made gardens of palms and vines, and in it We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 They have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day -- and they are left in darkness. 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 The sun cannot overtake the moon, nor can the night outpace the day: each floats in [its own] orbit. 40 how We carried them and their offspring inside the laden Ark 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto whereon they ride. 42 and [that,] if such be Our will, We may cause them to drown, with none to respond to their cry for help: and [then] they cannot be saved, 43 It is only Our Mercy (that rescues them) and enables enjoyment of life for a while. 44 When it is said to them: "Beware of what is before you and what is past, that you may be treated with kindness;" 45 Indeed, not one of your Lord's signs comes to them without their turning away from it, 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They are awaiting only for one Cry to seize them while they are yet disputing, 49 Then they would not be able to make a will, or go back to their people. 50
