Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
