SAY: "O my Sustainer! If it be Thy will to let me witness [the fulfillment of] whatever they [who blaspheme against Thee] have been promised [to suffer] 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me, 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
