Say: 'O my Lord, if Thou shouldst show me that they are promised, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 the fire will scorch their faces, and they will abide therein with their lips distorted in pain. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
