And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 Send with us the Children of Isra'il? 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 He said: Lord of the east and the west and whatsoever is in-between, if ye understand. 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
