The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In extending columns. 9
