The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
