The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
