Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
