Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]. 41 Say: "Travel on the earth and see how came the end of those before you." Most of them were idolaters. 42 So set you (O Muhammad SAW) your face to (the obedience of Allah, your Lord) the straight and right religion (Islamic Monotheism), before there comes from Allah a Day which none can avert it. On that Day men shall be divided [(in two groups), a group in Paradise and a group in Hell]. 43 So that he who disbelieves will bear the consequence of his unbelief; and he who does the right will straighten out the way for himself, 44 So that He shall recompense those who believe and work righteous works out of His grace; verily He loveth not the infidels. 45 Among His signs is this: He sends out the winds bearing good news so that He may make you taste His mercy, and ships sail at His command, so that you may seek His bounty, and be grateful. 46 We sent Messengers before you to their respective nations, and they brought Clear Signs to them. Then We took vengeance upon those who acted wickedly. It was incumbent on Us to come to the aid of the believers. 47 It is Allah who looses the winds that stir the clouds. He spreads them as He will in heaven and disperses them, so that you can see the rain falling from their midst. When He smites with it whom He will of His worshipers they rejoice, 48 although before that they were given to despair. 49 Look at the traces of the mercy of God, how He has revived the dead earth. God revives the dead; He has power over all things. 50 And if We sent a wind and they beheld it yellow, they verily would still continue in their disbelief. 51 For surely you cannot, make the dead to hear and you cannot make the deaf to hear the call, when they turn back and 52 Nor canst thou guide the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear save those who believe in Our revelations so that they surrender (unto Him). 53
