Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
