Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
