The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 and those that blow gently, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
