No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 Warn the men. 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 From the guilty. 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
