Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' 27 So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. 28 Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! 29 They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' 30 ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 marked out in thy Sustainer's sight for [the punishment of] such as have wasted their own selves." 34 So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, 35 But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). 36 And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46
