The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the breath of morning 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
